Discovering Europe (2014-2017)
PEIRAMATIKO DIMOTIKO SXOLEIO PANEPISTIMIOU PATRON
In school, we disseminated the progress of the project as well as the achievements/results of the project after each Transnational Project Meeting and after each Learning, Teaching and Training activity involving students at school, in staff meetings and assemblies. We also organized and ran brief training sessions after school to share and train teachers in the agreed teaching methods.
SEMINARS/CONFERENCES/SITES/FB
4. The Regional Directorate of Western Greece (February 2016) in Patras. Title of presentation, “Discovering Europe through innovative teaching/learning methods”, (the participants into the above-mentioned dissemination being teachers interested in embarking on a European project Erasmus +)
5. The Panhellenic Educational Conference held by the Experimental Lyceum in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the University of Patras (14-16 October 2016). Title of presentation, “Discovering 10 countries’ traditional songs through innovative learning methods”.
6. The 3rd E-twinning Panhellenic Conference held in Patras (13-15 November 2016), Title of presentation, “ Erasmus+ project: Discovering the Art of Building in ten European countries”.
7. During the three school years (2014-2017) all the project tasks carried out in our school were sent to the Department of Cultural affairs in Achaia Prefecture, to be diffused by the person in charge.
8. We were invited by the EFL School Advisor, to present our Project in a seminar totally dedicated to Erasmus+, in April 2017.
9. Presentation of our project at the School of Second Chance, Patras April 2017.
10. 9th Panhellenic Conference for ICT held in Syros. Title of presentation, “Creating European comic (hi)stories and interacting via chat”. Syros, 28-30 April 2017.
11.Email messages in the form of newsletter containing information about the stages of the project were sent to a group of around 30 teachers of English in Patras, on a regular basis.
12. We built a website (http://erasmus.ppsp.weebly.com ), on which every single task and report about each mobility, was uploaded. We shared it with all staff at our school as well as with other teachers in the area. Besides, it is attached in the Parents’ Association site. Our website was regularly updated.
13. We created a facebook profile entitled “Peiramatiko Erasmus”, where we uploaded information regarding our activities and mobilities, on a regular basis.
14. We also contacted local newspapers with a view to publishing the Learning Meeting in Greece.
15. Additionally, the developments of our projects were regularly updated on the school website http://dim-aei-patras.ach.sch.gr.
16. At the end of each school year, for 3 consecutive years, we created promotional materials (hats & T-shirts) for our 6th graders, who would go to junior high school, in order to ‘disseminate’ our project.
17. The activities/created materials will be disseminated in more coming conferences & seminars that are to be held locally as well as on a national basis.
18. Headteachers & colleaugues from Athens and Nafpaktos have invited us to talk about our project.

- The 2nd E-twinning Panhellenic Conference held in Patras (13-15 November 2015), Title of presentation, “Ten countries discover Europe through alternative teaching methods”. (Our project activities received a lot of praise and many teachers from other cities/areas asked for our website (in order to see in more detail what we had implemented until then and what it was scheduled to be done until the end of the project).
